“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” 2 Corinthians 10:4
We believe that not only can people be freed from addiction, but that they can be free from it forever.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:36
Some of the factors of addiction include: depression, anxiety, loneliness, fear, and sometimes, past experiences. We believe that God will not only heal from the addiction, but also heal the factors that lead some to addiction.
“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
We believe living a new life is a process. It takes daily effort, application, and development. Even the Apostle Paul wrote:
“I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.13No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,d but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Phil 3:12-14
We believe that everyone, no matter their past, deserves a chance to allow God to work in their lives, and that this is the heart and will of God.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
According to scripture, we can be completely confident that God will not only heal our brokenness, but also keep us on the right track all of our days on earth and in heaven.
“Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Phil 1:6
