family 03Substance abuse can have just as devastating effects on the families. Some families feel as though their loved one is “a whole different person” when they are using drugs and/or alcohol.

IMG_0125Another area of focus at the Turning Point is to provide an environment where mending these damaged, and sometimes fragile, relationships can begin.

IMG_0166Some families picnic, walk and talk around the campus, play games, play with their children at the playground, fish in the pond, feed the ducks, pray in the chapel, etc.

IMG_0144The Turning Point campus offers peace and comfort for families to spend time re-building relationships. Families are welcome to visit Sunday afternoons from 1pm-4pm (after the first 30 days).

IMG_0119In addition, on the first Sunday of every month, we have Family Day. This is a special day where Turning Point prepares a meal for the families as well as a special question-answer family session. During this session, the families can ask the counselors questions and share comments in a group setting, if they wish.
