Mission

Changing Directions, Changing Lives

To change the lives of men suffering from the devastating effects of addiction by directing them to the love and restoration found in Jesus Christ.

History

Turning Point’s original location was at Camp Utopia in Springville, Alabama. In the spring of 1995, Turning Point moved to our present home in Thorsby, Alabama. In 2005 Turning Point built a new men’s dormitory that would comfortably house up to 30 residents.

In the spring and summer of 2015, God showed great favor in providing the support and services of local donors who enabled the complete renovation of the red house, which was the original house on the property built as a family retreat. The newly renovated house now houses the administration offices, a nice conference room, counseling offices, and comfortable living spaces for residents to visit with their families on weekends.

The campus today combines both modern conveniences with rural Alabama charm and safety.
