Brian Stockard- Executive Director

Brian Stockard joined the Turning Point team in June 2018 as a member of the Board of Directors. In June of 2019, He moved into the position as the Executive Director. Brian and his wife, Rachel, have been actively involved in the recovery community working with men battling addiction and the families that are affected. Brian has a strong commitment to serve those who are struggling and is passionate about helping them find a path to sobriety and a relationship with God. In 1995, Brian graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Accounting. Recently he graduated from Highlands College with studies focused on Ministry and Leadership. Brian and Rachel have 3 children and live in the Birmingham area.

Stephen Land- Program Director

Stephen Land came to Turning Point Foundation in 2021 as a program participant. Upon completion of the program he stayed on as a volunteer, assisting with intakes and our Family Program. Educated as a clinical social worker, receiving his MSW from Alabama A & M, and having worked in nonprofit development and health care management, Stephen was suited for the role of Program Director here at Turning Point. Stephen brings a unique yet practical experiential framework to our participants and culls from his own history to share hope and a solution. Stephen spends most of his free time working with other addicts in the Birmingham area, serving on the Board of Directors for JAFI, whitewater kayaking, and spending time in the outdoors with his children.

Tom Braddock- Chaplain

Tom entered into recovery from various addictions on December 16, 1999. As his relationship with God grew, he began seeking more opportunities to serve others who were suffering. Tom spent time as a partner and directed part of a sober living facility for men coming out of treatment. He began to speak at treatment centers and churches about God's love and addiction. 

He has since become certified in equine therapy as well as a recovery/life coach and interventionist. His mission is to spread God's love to broken souls. Tom began volunteering at Turning Point in 2007. In March of 2018, he came on staff as our Program Director and has since moved into the role of Chaplain. 

Josh Easterling- Operations Manager

Josh began his journey with Turning Point as a resident in 2015. After completing the program in early 2016, he was asked to stay on as an intern and acted as a Resident Assistant. Josh shares his experience and love of Christ on a daily basis with the men that are in the program.  In 2018, he became the Operations Manager overseeing the day to day structure of our program. Josh is actively involved at Bethel Church in Thorsby.

Robbie Pine- Phase Instructor

​Robbie was born and raised in Gadsden, AL and is a graduate of Auburn University. His journey at Turning Point began in April 2021 as a resident. Upon completing the program, he stayed on as a volunteer and has been a permanent staff member for the last three years, serving as the Phase One instructor and experiential activity coordinator.  "This place means so much to my life and my recovery. Hopefully, I can pass on to the residents what I have learned here about myself and my recovery journey."

Drew Hartley- Phase Instructor​​

Drew Hartley is originally from Birmingham, AL and currently calls Clanton, AL home. He graduated from Auburn University, studying Political Science, and has been one of our phase facilitators over the last three years sharing his life experiences with his own personal recovery and helping others. His time at Turning Point has shown him that God has a purpose for his life and his greatest joy is found in giving. When away from work, Drew enjoys spending his time with family and being at the lake.
